Thomas Spear co-founder and President of Property Management Associates, a Los Angeles based real estate company focused on property management, has in excess of 30 years experience in commercial and residential real estate. Spear oversees the operations of over 200 commercial real estate assets with values in excess of $2 billion in the Southern California area.  He is responsible for the asset management, operations, performance, staffing, and construction for properties included in this portfolio.

Prior to founding Property Management Associates, Spear was the West Coast Managing Partner for Tishman Midwest Management and Leasing Services Company.  In that capacity Spear was responsible for all day-to-day operations of a commercial real estate portfolio valued in excess of $1.5 billion, as well as regional management of the corporation.

Spear was also associated with VMS Realty Partners as their Vice President and Regional Manager.  His responsibilities included management and marketing of over 11 million square feet of commercial and retail properties valued in excess of $2.5 billion located in the Western States from Denver to Hawaii. He also was responsible for the construction and parking companies in his region.  While at VMS, Spear was responsible for the design and implementation of a $50 million rehabilitation to his portfolio.  He was also involved in real estate brokerage transactions in excess of $300 million.

Prior to VMS Realty Partners, Spear was President of TSC Properties, Inc. of Los Angeles California.  TSC Properties, Inc. is the management subsidiary of Colliers Seeley, one of the top commercial real estate brokerage companies in Southern California.  As President, Spear was responsible for operations of in-house syndications and partnerships, fee-managed portfolio, as well as profitability of TSC Properties, Inc.  During his tenure with TSC Properties, Inc., Spear was involved with the rehabilitation of a number of properties as well as other asset management functions including refinancing and real estate brokerage for a number of properties.

Prior to TSC Properties, Inc., Spear founded and sold real estate companies in Beverly Hills and Leucadia, California.

Spear is a Superior and Federal Court receiver and has been a Board Member of the Los Angeles Business Council.  He has served the community through his affiliations with the United Way of Orange County, Hillcrest Boys Home, Town Hall, and Task Force for the Assessment of Abused Children, and Southern California College Group Counseling for Troubled Teens.
