Joshua Fein, co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Property Management Associates (PMA), has been involved in the financial aspects of real estate for the past 25 years. Formed in 1991, with co-founder Thomas Spear, PMA one of the largest private property management companies in Southern California.
In his present capacity of Chief Financial Officer, Fein oversees the financial performance of over 75 commercial real estate projects and 100 multi-family projects valued in excess of $1.5 billion. He is closely involved in the asset management, property analysis, property budgeting, and financial reporting for the company portfolio. He is further responsible for the corporate operations of PMA.
In 2000 Joshua Fein and Tom Spear formed a relationship with Asset Management Consultants (AMC) (www.amcinvestments.com), a midsized Southern California real estate investment company. PMA performs all investment underwriting, due diligence, asset management and property management for AMC’s real estate investments. Since 2000 AMC has acquired 4 million square feet of commercial properties and currently maintain a 2.8M foot portfolio in California and Texas.
Fein and Spear have also has acquired various commercial and multi-family projects in Southern California and various multi-family properties with Luma Corp (www.lumacorp.com) in Texas. PMA, through Property Management Associates of Florida, works with South Coast Partners (www.southcp.com) group of companies on the acquisition, repositioning and resale of various multi-family projects in Florida.
Prior to forming Property Management Associates, Fein was Vice President for Tishman Midwest Management and Leasing Service Company. Tishman Midwest oversaw 13M square feet of commercial properties, and handled parking operations and construction activities through it’s in-house related companies. In that capacity Fein oversaw all operations of Tishman's West Coast portfolio, including the day to day operations, leasing, staffing, budgeting, reporting as well as the overhead operation of the region. He was also responsible for financial reporting of construction and parking companies based in Los Angeles.
Fein was formerly Director of Finance for Oxford Properties Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Oxford Properties Group out of Toronto Canada, one of North America’s largest real estate development companies. In Los Angeles Fein was involved with Citicorp Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles and Computax Tower in Torrance. Fein’s responsibilities included land, construction, and permanent financing, financial modeling for various types of projects, property acquisitions and property dispositions.
Fein holds a BA in accounting from the University of Florida and started his career as CPA for Laventhol and Horwath in South Florida. Fein also holds a real estate license from State of California and is a Superior Court Receiver.
